Did you know that the Dazzler was originally conceptualized to resemble Grace Jones? Here is an early art piece by John Romita Jr. of Dazzler with that design. One of her powers was going to be that she could make people tell the truth.
Avengers #59 was one of the first comics I ever owned and the panels stick with me to this day. Written by Roy Thomas! The art by John Buscema and George Klein was amazing! 1st appearance of Yellowjacket! It also had a great cameo of JJJ and Spidey debating insect-themed heroes!
The 1989 Captain Marvel 1-shot written by Dwayne McDuffie with art by Mark Bright is an action packed 42 pager with a ton of story. Monica takes on a few villains including Moonstone (a favorite nemesis and a good match for Monica)! Bright is excellent. Recommend it! Thoughts?
Who would be best suited to take on Batman’s foes?
Vote in the latest Back in the Bronze Age poll!
Limited and Mini Series from back in the Bronze Age! There was change in the wind as many characters got their own title and a short run in the early to mid-80s! Some of my favorites got a turn at the well or returned for a short spell. Who were you happy to see headline a book?
