X-Men: The Hidden Years! It was a fun series, and when John Byrne brought in the FF (with Crystal alongside) to team with the original X-Men it knocked my socks off. John Byrne and Tom Palmer were a good pairing. They definitely captured the nostalgic feel of the Neal Adams’ era.
If you grew up in the Bronze Age, I’m guessing you recognize these!
L’eggs, Bud Man, STP, and generics!
Name 4 characters you’d like to see in the live-action MCU!
The 4 I’d like to see in movies are:
MODOK
Namor
Kang
and Nighthawk!
Who are your choices?
Although she was lost to the Crisis, don’t forget about Rima the Jungle Girl! DC ran seven issues in 1974 with beautiful covers by Joe Kubert & amazing interior art by Nestor Redondo! Really striking art work! Some stories by Robert Kanigher! Worth a look; your eyes will love it!
The Thing teamed with heroines created in the Bronze Age!
Some of my favorite Two-In-Ones!
Tales of the Watcher! I would read the heck out of a new Tales of the Watcher! We had What If? but the Twilight Zone/Outer Limits style of Watcher was really great. Appearing in Tales of Suspense and later reworked with Gene Colan art in Silver Surfer, these shorts were stellar!
Kang! Kang is a favorite villain of mine. I’ve enjoyed his antics since the first story I read featuring him (Avengers #71). He is maniacal, strange, emotional, and crafty. And who doesn’t love his onomatopoeic name? Here are some favorite covers featuring Kang!
