I preferred the Punisher when he was a villain! Despite the great work by Mike Zeck and others in his solo mags, I just preferred the character as the occasional antagonist for Spidey, Cap, and DD. Because of his methods, I had trouble following him even as an “anti-hero.”
DD, friends, and enemies!
Classic Daredevil by Gene Colan!
Saturday mornings back in the Bronze Age!
Have a great happy day! Kick it off right!
Happy 70th Birthday John Byrne!
Celebrating by looking at his work on a team other than the X-Men and FF...the Doom Patrol as drawn by Byrne!
Iron Man 219-221! A favorite arc at the end of the Bronze Age (1987). Iron Man, Spymaster, and the introduction of the Ghost! A brutal adventure in corporate espionage by Michelinie, Layton, and Bright. Some cruel surprises meted out by the villains & good character development!
I will always buy comics with covers featuring the Vision and the Grim Reaper! That goes double if Wonder Man also appears!
The Swordsman! Despite being a Marvel fanatic I’ve never been a Swordsman fan. He’s an Avenger I didn’t need. Swashbuckling villain turned hero; we already had Hawkeye! Tying the 2 together accentuated his lack of luster. Being a descendent of the Crimson Cavalier didn’t sway me.
Because you demanded it (or at least somebody asked nicely) here are some snags from the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe (OHOTMU) related to the Fantastic Four!
FF heroes, villains, lairs and more!
Part 1 - more to come!
