Is he....you know?
Wonderful Victorian teapot featuring on @higginsbedford #LGBTHM20 trail. Male and female on either side.
How did I miss this?! Dragons are my favourites!!!! Here’s one I chose for my temporary display “Beasts” and in @ColMuseums collection. 🐉🐲 https://t.co/PP9ldENW5X
It’s #FindsFriday so of course I’ll share with you one of my favourite #Adorn objects. The stunning torc on loan from @NorfolkMuseums shows how @ColMuseums very own #WoodhamWalter hoard was intended to look. #BronzeAge #Gold
#LGBT is made up of a wide range of people, within those communities are even more subgroups. #Bears are a familiar group found within the gay community. This adorable #jet #bear is #Roman and was found at the #ButtRoad cemetery in #Colchester. #LGBTHM2019 #LGBTHistory
This seemingly unimpressive fragment of fabric was in fact embroidered by #QueenAnne and “some of her ladies in waiting”. It dates to 1704-14, the time she was known to have been romantically linked with #SarahChurchill and #AbigailMasham. #TheFavourite #LGBTHistoryMonth
My #JourneyToWork is pretty dull (I walk along a road to an industrial estate). So I decided to skip and move straight to my #FavouriteObject. In @ColMuseums stores, this #Roman brooch clearly shows a different intention for the wearer and the viewer. #Museum30
We have an incredible #Jet collection @ColMuseums. Here’s a lovely miniature #bear on a white background. #BlackAndWhite #Museum30
