Let me get this straight:
-Reptile
-Flies on wings of skin
-Toothy (most of the time)
-Comes with or without a tail
-Sometimes has head adornments
Yeah, pterosaurs are dragons but real.
I've seen this sort of prompt going around, so why not have our own spin on it?
Top three pterosaurs, go:
1. Arambouriania
2. Tropeognathus
3. Kunpengopterus
I don't post my artwork on its own frequently, most of the time it is linked to some thread or something idk
Consider your friendly neighborhood piebald #pliosaur a warning
@YutyTyrant @Chrissyfrizz1 it IS 90% faithful, however to the wrong skull.
ML based on the holotype reconstruct with elements of Carcharodontosaurus used to fill in the bits (3rd is carch, see the relation?) The 4th image is the 'new' giga, giving us a taller and less arrow-shaped skull jwd giga possesses.
Yeah, Spinosaurus would have been a weird, alligator/monitor lizard faced river dragon; and that’s just the head. Once again, this is not really scientific in any way, however it is some food for thought; and could possibly pave the way for more research of this dragon. (20/20)
However, further up the snout, we see something peculiar. Well fit, interlocking teeth as well as a lining of foramina similar to conventional theropods, and reptiles in general. Are there any examples of this that we can see in the modern day? (13/20)
While this certainly cannot be 100% proven or disproven by an amateur such as myself, I hope to throw my hat into the ring and try to bring about a new perspective on the oral tissue (or lack thereof?) on this animal. So, without further adieu, let’s get right into it. (4/20)
