Less remembered than their excellent Spectre run, Ostrander and Mandrake’s introspective Martian Manhunter run focussed on the detective aspect of the character. 30+ issues. 8/x

@ComicDissection I remember this cover. Looking at it, they were Prof X’s “new X-Men”, antagonista for that well known 360 milestone that everyone celebrates. Utterly forgettable

@EEscovar23 I have a soft spot for Stroman’s gussied up jacket and straps version and Jim Lee’s Genosha versión. But Havok is always great.
I think his power shown as all those circles is an amazing graphic effect.

I loved Marvels and really liked Kingdom Come but I have no interest in Alex Ross on Batman and Superman etc since. For my money, he’s MUCH better on Astro City and Dynamite covers. He’s a much better designer than he gets to prove on his “iconic” looking Marvel and DC work
