I've been taking too long to chip away at this; going to try to finish her/decide on colors today while running my experiment for work today
Wow look I redid it again what a surprise
Anyway I'm hoping to stick with this one; the stance looks more natural and I'm happy with how the angle of the legs turned out. Next I think I might try animating an idle for the first time
Back to doing stuff. I'm still making tweaks to Maruko's idle pose; don't think that upraised arm really made sense. I liked how it looked though, so I'll probably work it into an attack animation or something. Right now I'm debating just removing the jacket sleeves lol
Her previous sprite for reference. She practices bajiquan, so a lower stance makes more sense I think
Lower center of gravity of Maruko's stance. Changed her back arm pose, still probably going to tweak it some to make the perspective look right. I also "freed up" the sides of her waist a bit so she shows a few flashes of midriff between the flutterings of her top
I thought I would end up changing Tsuyuri's design (like her outfit or something) as I redid her sprite at the new resolution but it turns out she's actually just perfect. Anyway she's done. I figure she'd creepily flex the fingers on her lead hand during her idle animation
