@PhilipArdagh @Sally_Nicholls I've been wondering myself why there are so few text-heavy picture books in the UK, while you'll find plenty in Europe. Who made up the unwritten rule that picture books should be no longer than 500 words? Here are just a few of Book Island's picture books with 1500+ words:
