Notice how they slowly get redder as they age? It's due to consuming so much blood. The name also has numerous meanings that all allude to its friendly/vicious dual-nature! What a clever concept. 2/2
@dragonquaustin Oh yeah, and the Jamirus thing is very, very weird. Jamirus is one of the Dread Fiends from VI. Yes, he's a boss. And Gemon, is a boss from VIII. So you have individual, named characters from different games who are father and son, in a different game!
There's also a few iconic monsters that have "XY" forms that are stronger, but visually identical to the monster you know and love. I did this with Conklave and Teeny Sanguini on my playthrough because I like them so much. Even a regular Slime can become viable this way.
Been on a major Flash kick lately, and I'm amazed that there was a 13-year streak of 3 defining runs back-to-back, from issue 62-225. Mark Waid, Morrison & Millar, then Geoff Johns.
Fucking ROASTED. I love Azarello's Wonder Woman. Her sass is rare enough that it catches you off guard every time and makes you spit out your drink.
So, I saw this little guy and scouted it. Its name translated to "Whip Ghost", and I thought "Oh, so like whipped cream ghost... oh man, it should totally be named Whipped Scream." and went to see if it had an official english name....
Joker 1 also had almost no story, and the maps were very tiny islands with a mountain on them to make them feel bigger than they were. Joker 2's world is interconnected and filled with gigantic fields, and story events that happen in every area, with an actual supporting cast!
DQM1's problem was that it was mostly randomly-generated dungeons that tried to trick you into thinking they were an overworld, which had no story events in them. 2 has hand-designed worlds with their own stories, puzzles, and towns much like DQIII. It's ACTUAL DQ, with monsters!
