Very fond of narrative uses for the dual screen displays.

This was before Nintendo began reeling back on the RPGs doing their own thing. The Superstar remake replaced the unique Koopa Cruiser crew with generic on-model minions, and the Cruiser itself stops showing up after M&L2.

I've always liked the dilapidated Xmas vibe of Hollijolli Village, but I do wish the path leading up to it fit more thematically. Compared to all the other areas in the game this particular map feels like several ideas duct-taped together. Also, time for ✨too many tutorials💼✨

The refreshing addition of Pauline after Odyssey is the closest thing we've had to a 'new' human in the main lineup, though that's more of a comeback. I don't count the New Donkers, they're like a different species, haha
