Sarah-Jane is a massive kid at heart, and she adores Christmas. Consequently, she has a soft spot for A Wombling Merry Christmas and sings along with a passion. She doesn’t know who The Wombles are, but they’re “adorable” and anyway it was either that or Showaddywaddy.

Being a witch, Allison Gross doesn’t much go in for Christmas. However, she will go along with it “for the sake of others” and secretly enjoys it. Mike Oldfield’s version of In Dulci Jubilo is her go-to when she’s been on the wine and she starts feeling merry.

Sandy Prior’s tune of choice is Jethro Tull’s Ring Out Solstice Bells. Anything about Santa or reindeer or commercialism is out, and a pagan celebration with a 70s prog flair is in. Plus, Ian Anderson is “fit”, as well as a musical genius.
