Brandy, Siobhan, the ‘80s bedspread, and differing expectations.
Brandy has a hit on the radio, and then she meets her husband! That would make a nice ending to a nice story, so if this was a nice story, I could have ended it there.
Done. Brandy remembers meeting her ex-husband for the first time.
Crystal wouldn’t really think it in contemporary vernacular like that, but something of that sentiment in a ‘70s feel. Anyway the actual words accompanying this part of the story are Brandy’s. Crystal is right though, he turns out to be trouble.
Mostly done the figures. Need to add Crystal’s drums.
...
Big sister Crystal is thinking something like, “OK Brandy, steal this fuckboy, but you know he’s just an overnight B+, he’s not husband material. Oh shit, that’s where this is headed, isn’t it. Oh shit. Oh shit.”
Working on...
Another time that Brandy remebers her younger self.
For what I’m working on, I’m checking this other drawing where Brandy and Crystal are arguing. They fight quite a bit in the story.
I had to make the sister of darkness the hero. Milton did a strange and profound thing to narrative. Well Odysseus is pretty murky too, I guess.
Brandy when she was just getting started, coming back from practice. This would be about 1975.
If you don’t believe what you’re saying, Crystal will see/hear the bad rhythms in your words.
