The Numbers just updated Feb 7th bluray sales & had nothing to report on Alita. As of Feb 7th Alita is estimated to have sold about 600 blurays in the U S & to have worldwide profits of $71 million. That profit estimate is a low estimate, probably low by $20 million.
@OptimizticOzzie You're underestimating Alita & you're also underestimating Rosa Salazar. Alita & Rosa are very likable & have big fanbases. It's a big mistake to underestimate Alita or Rosa. Rosa, with her charm and beauty, could twist Disney around her little finger. Expect a greenlight soon
@StarOfElyon Star, you're correct. Disney is focusing intensely on Disney+. Alita will be debuting on Disney+ Star in UK, Ireland & Germany this Friday & in Italy on July 9th. If Alita makes the Top 10 upon her debut that will really impress Disney. Alita can indeed make the Top 10.

The streaming service Canal+ Afrique will start streaming Alita Battle Angel starting July 2, 2021 to several countries in Africa. Alita's streaming on Disney+ Star and other streaming services means probably 1 million or more will see Alita for the first time next weekend.

An Italian website states that Alita: Battle Angel will premiere on Disney+ Star in Italy on 7/9/21. So far, Alita premieres on Star in Ireland, UK & Germany on 7/2 and in Italy on 7/9. Alita is probably premiering on Disney+ Star in more countries in July. #AlitaSequel
@vladdie777 Disney is very predictable. As Grace Randolph said "Everything Hollywood does is driven by profit." That's an exaggeration, but her point is correct. If Disney thinks an Alita sequel will make money, odds are heavily in favor of Disney greenlighting a sequel. Bet on Alita.
