Would you be willing to let the Alita Army use your attached fan art in ad being planned to be placed in the L A Times encouraging fans to sign the Alita sequel petition & tweet #AlitaSequel ?@raikoart
@vladdie777 The ad should have dazzling art so people will read it, should ask readers to tweet #AlitaSequel & sign the petition, mention that it is James Cameron's & Rosa Salazar's sequel, & have a memorable line like: We have enough Disney Princesses! We need Disney Battle Angels!
@vladdie777 Box Office Pro is projecting a low U S box office this summer due to not enough big budget movies. A mass tweet asking for a rerelease of Alita in U S theaters could work. Theaters are starved for quality movies & Alita back in theaters would give a huge boost to the Alita Army
@DavidBirch1982 @Ripteyed On April 2nd Rosa Salazar talked about how she is fighting for a sequel. It's now July & there's no news. It seems the odds are 2 to 1 against Disney greenlighting a sequel unless Avatar 2 hits $1.5 billion at the box office in January. The Alita Army needs to take action soon
The Numbers updated June 28th bluray sales & Alita wasn't there. For the week ending June 28th it's estimated that Alita sold 1200 blurays in the U S. At June 28th it's estimated Alita had profits of $101.9 million. Disney is too greedy to refuse to greenlight an Alita sequel.
@JohnnySciFi There's a good chance that Disney+ will announce Wedding Season in the next few weeks, & Rosa Salazar will be out giving interviews to promote it. Rosa will probably be asked for an update on the status of an Alita sequel. That would be a good time to take action. #AlitaSequel
@SC36770824 The Numbers hasn't reported any Alita sales since Sept 2019. The Numbers did report 2021 Top 100 bluray sales. #100 last year was 102,205 units for 2021, or about 1965 per week. The average drop from 100 to 200 to 300 is a 15% drop. Alita's sales rank at 6/12 was 235.
The Numbers just updated June 12 2022 U S bluray sales. For the week ending June 12th it's estimated that Alita sold 1300 blurays in the U S. That's way up because Amazon discounted Alita blurays. At June 12th it's estimated that Alita had worldwide profits of $101.4 million.
@mrobles1939 The image was just an example of one approach to an Alita ad. Here's another Alita fan art image. Not only will the fan art grab the reader's attention, it will also impress the reader that Alita fans are so passionate & talented that they can create such great art.#AlitaSequel
@vladdie777 @StarOfElyon On June 5th Amazon put the Alita blurays on sale & sales have jumped to 1100 to 1900 units per week. The demand for Alita is strong. If the Alita Army decides on a print ad, use some good fan art like those attached, or take a photo of an Alita hot toy. That fan art is powerful
