@The_SuddeNo Slightly off topic but this post finally gave me the motivation to make this:
I was born in 1989 so it was mostly Music Videos & OVA's that I've never heard of, but apparently that was also the year for the first DBZ movie, Cipher, & Little Nemo! https://t.co/DkyBwRi2hy
@kingsteeth And to the "But I only draw anime so they HAVE to be skinny" crowd...that's not an excuse either!
Osaka's design is so convincingly vacant that I'm genuinely tempted to make my eye-shines appear at the bottom more often. Yukari looks pretty empty-headed as well but I'm still trying to figure out why that is aside from "forehead & cheeks? it checks out"
Can't forget about Dejiko-- It helps that she can go Super Deformed whenever she likes. I think catgirls and pseudo-catgirls are really good at giving off "the lights aren't all on upstairs" type of vibes. Perhaps it's the exposed forehead too? Very inspiring!
Speaking of puni cheeks, Umaru Doma in Hamster Mode has chibi baby vibes but the > : D type of face makes me think she's also there to cause chaos.
I'm going to put Nuku Nuku and Lina Inverse in the same post because they both have that "Long Hair & Double Teeth" type of thing going on like Lime does. Either one of these girls could be amazingly intelligent but I still get a chaotic impression from them (Goals).
I don't know why my brain is wired like this, but my first go-to Empty is Lime from Saber Marionette J and/or J to X. I think it's because her eyes are set very far apart and she always has a confused head tilt, and when in doubt she just giggles-- which-- honestly? I do the same
Had the sudden urge to play with Vroid again! Thinking about making Eye Lines that are inspired by BJD face-ups.
The lash lines are way too thin for Booth, but I might play around with this technique some more.
The iris is just the default but with a different layer blend mode.
