@porntagonist Of all the "Modern Anime: BAD" shows OP could have chose for this meme, they went with "Somali and the Forest Spirit" even though it was like a breath of fresh air? Like genuinely?? Some of the best background designs and world building that I've seen from an anime in a -while-?

Ibis Paint is probably my fave though?? because it's so intuitive I feel like it must have been engineered by neuroscientists??? (Or by artists with the same neurotype as me) Plus it's the only program where I actually get to the coloring stage because I'm having fun using it

@AkariHoshizawa I haven't started using my model for anything in particular, but this is what I came up with a while ago just by using free stuff and paying 5 dollars for the hair. The Irises/Lashes/Brows/Etc were done by me!

I always say "I'll learn to make my own hair and textures some day" but I keep falling in love with hair styles in the booth stores 😭💖 I at least make my own eye lines/lashes/irises/highlights/eyebrows though

I love this pixiv art trend of "pretty anime girls doing everyday things in a highly rendered environment". I could never be as pretty as them but at the same time it's like "Aw these characters seem so friendly! I wanna paint beautifully the way these artists do!"
