Kazuo Kamimura died in January 11th, 1986 after he was hospitalized with a pharynx tumor. He was only 45 years old...
Rest in peace
Several of his books have been translated into different languages, notably French, Italian, Spanish and German.
Nothing besides "Lady Snowblood" has been licensed in English.
He worked (and became close friend) with Hideo Okazaki, a manga writer and editor at "Young Comic" magazine, where Kamimura draw countless of covers. Together they produced some of the best hits from Kamimura: Shinano Gawa, Aku no Hana and Abe Saba.
Outside of Japan, it was published in Spanish in 1994 and in Italian in 1996 in singles and reprinted in 2019 into a single book, remaining the only in print option to these days.
