Why didn't anyone tell me that Blood: A Tale was actually pretty fucking cool?
30 Days of Night by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith - The art's cool sometimes and there's some cool moments, but a lot of this book isn't for me. It also could do with a lot more breathing room, a story like this should feel bigger. Those 30 days end up feeling like two at most.
Hopefully tomorrow you all will see the main character of my comic for the first time
@WilliamBabey Fave of the few surreal moments is when two of the villains of one album just die and go straight to Hell
Street Fighting Men: Spain Vol. 1 by Spain Rodriguez - Chaos and sensory overload in the best ways. This is my first dive into anything from the early days of the underground movement and it doesn’t disappoint. Spain’s art is super great and give me that good comic-making itch.
@zacksoto Not sure, I’m reading it in the collection Fantagraphics put out
Gonna be thinking about this guy for a while, thank you Barry https://t.co/aLr1AzUyPQ
Elric: The Eternal Champion Collection by Michael Moorcock, Phillipe Druillet, and James Cawthorn - Cawthorn’s book has great fantasy art held back but unfortunately confusing storytelling. Druillet’s book is like looking into the soul of a nightmare god and It rules.
