Time Flies by William Gerard Barry is one of the most beloved works in the collection. Exhibited @royalacademy in 1887, the painting glows with seasonal colours as it meditates on the passage of time.

John Lavery died at Rossenarra House, Co. Kilkenny #onthisday in 1941. A native of Belfast, he is remembered as one of 'The Glasgow Boys' and for his iconic portraits, including The Red Rose (1923) and The Widow (1921) currently on display in our Gibson Galleries (Floor 1). #Cork
