Though I’ll admit I started this story as a throw away writing exercise. I designed him in the moment, based on a random sketch that turned out well & i set a scene in the holiday room i was in, in Albany, & I just didn’t stop writing it.

Having said that, some of my stories are best told in a visual medium, least we wade through mass info dumps.

@TeresaGrabs I’m right now working on comedy & strong endings for my book.

This novella is teaching me more about the craft of story than any of my past comic work has. Without depending of the implied word of an illustration I have to focus on what I choose talk about more than ever.

I do believe in being tired though. Or instinctively feeling like
there’s something wrong with the project i can’t diagnose yet. Sometimes I needed to step away and work on something else for awhile.
Or get some sleep 😂
