Black Claw’s design in Re: Cutie Honey (and the 2004 film) is an homage to Mazinger Z villains, Count Brocken and Baron Ashura #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

Producer Toshio Katsuta (勝田稔男) introduced a strong willed character like Naojiro, to act as a good contrast to Honey. Unlike Seiji, who he described as “silly and weak” #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

Taranche Panther and Scissors Claw are the only original Panther Claw minions to also appear in Flash. Their names are presented as Tarantula Panther, and Scissors Panther, just like in the original manga. #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

Haruko Kitahama (北浜晴子) is the only actress to play two Panther Claw agents consecutively. She voiced Black Claw and Fire Claw in the first two episodes. Afterwards, there was a rotation with other actresses. #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

In Cutey Honey Flash, Principal Pochi is reimagined as Alphonne's pet dog. This a joke on the fact "Pochi" is a generic dog's name, much like "Spot" #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

In the 2004 film and OVA, Honey has a fondness for onigiri. This an aspect of her character that is exclusive to those adaptations. Ironically, in the last episode of the original series, Honey has onigiri (or rather, "omusubi") as apart of her lunch #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

Yoshinori Kanada (金田伊功) did key animation for the last episode of Cutie Honey. He most likely did animation on the other episodes that Satoshi Jingu worked on, but was uncredited. #金田伊功さんご命日

The Shogaku Youchien Cutey Honey F manga only depicts the defeat of Zora, but *not* Jill. Sister Jill is last seen in the penultimate chapter fleeing. This is ironic, since its typically the other way around in most versions! #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

Next episode previews sometimes feature alternative footage, or unused shots. The preview for episode 3 in particular includes a whole sequence of Honey fighting goons that isn't in the actual episode. #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney

Honey's transformation in the second episode of "New Cutey Honey" emulates her first one from the original series. #cutiehoney #cuteyhoney
