I drew a picture of myself on MS Paint.

it's really rough and I wasn't really trying from the beginning. It's also by memory so a lot is wrong.

It's mostly how my artstyle normally looks, aside from having no lineart, minimal shading, and the more realistic mouth & nose.

started drawing a weird Gorilla character and it ended up as a weird rendition of Bowser

I think the color and expression in the Paper Jam art is great. The eyes are the only real problem imo. I still edited the color slightly in the 3rd image though.

Various Goomba character designs for fun.

(First 2 are sister and brother. I had no relation in mind when designing the rest)

I tried to take inspiration from Goombette and her concept art from Odyssey. The cheek placement is from the final version, and the mouth is based on the concept art.

I also kept her normal Goomba Eyebrows to match the streamlined design approach of Sticker Star onwards.

I'll probably return to my "TTYD-ifying CS/TOK Sprites" project soon, but in the meantime, here is Goombella in the CS/TOK style.

@antdude92 One thing I don't understand is why everyone always talks about the Bowser's Inside Story remake art specifically, when it also happened with the Superstar Saga remake.

This was especially weird when people were flipping out before the BIS remake was even out.

Okay, hear me out... What if Vivian's nose... is actually a giant Tongue? her mouth is her chin, and her eyes are just... polka dots or something? Or like, really low cheeks.
