I had my birthday again on the 19th (still shocked this happens every year) and celebrated by filling cephalopod doodle requests on Instagram (like I did on Twitter in 2021). People had delightful ideas: octopus tourist, squid teacher, bobtail squid florist, octopus doing karate.

@JusttheZooofUs Hi, I'm Danna, I write books about nature for adults and kids and I like to draw! Cephalopods are my fave, but I'm also wild for worms, slugs, isopods, fossils, larvae of all kinds . . . This is such an awesome thread!

Yesterday @TheOctoNation hosted a "how to draw an octopus" event and I got to try a whole new style--so much fun! My kids wanted it to be "cheers-ing," so here's to whatever you like best!
