Today I read the first volume of TARTARUS, which is absolutely lovely. It’s a rich, textured world which feels fully lived-in and realized, and its story is a thrill, brought to life with absolutely masterful art. Just an incredibly entertaining read. @NewJackCole @hellocookie

HOMUNCULUS is a lovely comic, isn’t it? Just exceptionally clever, profoundly endearing and sweet, with a whole lot of emotion hiding underneath its surface. It’s probably one of ShortBox’s best releases, which, given such an impressive catalogue, obviously means a LOT.

There is so, so much beauty in DON’T GO WITHOUT ME. Even in settings detached from our real world it manages to anchor itself in raw, real emotion, and the result is beautiful in every sense. If you haven’t gotten a copy, I urge you to order one. It’s utterly perfect.

I had a lot of fun with NO ONE’S ROSE. A compelling story about what comes after the end of the world, effecting change in a rigid community, the darker things that hide behind the rhetorics of utopia and revolution, effectively realized and beautifully visualized.

60.) Also launching in December is THE PICTURE OF EVERYTHING ELSE, about the power and weaponization of art. I LOVE this creative team, and the premise of the artist of the famous picture of Dorian Gray potentially coming back with a bloody vengeance, is very cool. @adityab

I don’t think I can convey what a breathtaking experience Linnea Sterte’s STAGES OF ROT is. A beautiful, spiritual dream, with every line feeling poignant and alive. The efficiency in which Sterte manages to breathe life into a rich biome is awe-inspiring—this is a perfect comic.
