This is a different Lamy… 😅

But I didn’t know there was a brand of pens with the same name, so I would not be surprised if there were some special edition pens honestly. Japan LOVES their gentei items

(a) Vortigern

Vortigern is a fifth century British warlord who appears in the writings of the Venerable Bede and Gildas, though evidence he existed is scant.

Previously, Vortigern appeared in the Garden of Avalon novella and drama CD, though as a more traditional dragon.

Koyanskaya of Light

Koyanskaya seems to have been designed to throw each and every person off. She is not one of the Tamamo Nine, which is baffling because her name is an anagram of “yana kyasko” which means “evil Casko”. Casko is a nickname for Tamamo no Mae in Fate/Extra.

Melusine

While not her true name, Melusine is a water spirit that is a fish or reptile from the waist down, which tries into her true form that won’t be discussed here.

In the original draft, Nasu initially had Melusine & Aurora as lovers, rather than mother and daughter.

Barghest

Barghest is the Northern English version of the Black Dog, a common folkloric motif. In most cases, they are said to be harmful or herald incoming death. However there are some benevolent versions, such as the Gurt Dog, which is said to protect travelers.

Galatea

No existing ancient text names her. Her name comes from Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s 1762 poem ‘Pygmalion’.

There are two Galateas in myth. The other Galatea is a sea-nymph whose lover is killed by a jealous cyclops & she saves him by turning him into a river spirit.

Ki’ichi-hougen (Soujoubou)

There are conflicting sources on who Ushiwakamaru’s teacher was. However, there doesn’t seem to have been a big difference between Ki’ichi & Soujoubou. Both are associated with tengu, the martial arts and mysticism, though different religions.

Taira no Kagekiyo

The Taira clan was one of the honorary surnames given to children of the emperors who, for whatever reason, were not eligible for the throne.

Kagekiyo was also known as Kazusa no Shichirou and most of what we know of him comes from The Tale of Heike.
