Like Heracles, Orion had a hero cult in Greece, indicating he was popular. Despite this, no extant record of his adventures is known, only appearing in anecdotes and myth collections. He may have been a proto-Heracles hero, as he shares similar hunting motifs.

Saber Astolfo’s appearance in FGO is completely different from his brief appearance in the Apocrypha manga, which is a knight in armor.

Astolfo also appears in the opera Alcina, which draws heavily from Orlando Furioso. In it, Astolfo has been turned into a tree!

Jane has the distinction of having her final ascension art completely redone. It was first leaked early on in production and the artist redid it for a more airy, fun look that better suited her personality in game.

Her full name was Martha Jane Cannary.

The only depictions that can be positively attributed to Astarte are when she is on horseback or a chariot, due to her similarities to Ishtar. Despite being Semitic goddess, the most depictions we can be absolutely certain of come from Egypt.

Summer Okita is a rather blatant reference Hibiki Tachibana from Symphogear. Both are voiced by Aoi Yuuki!

Changing the topic, no known photos of Okita exist. The one commonly believed to be him is an unknown man and the photo was a Meiji-era souvenir!

Only referenced in gag events prior, Artoria is a walking reference to the “fearsome beast” in Monty Python and the Holy Grail which is a murderous but adorable rabbit. This implies that the events of Monty Python and the Holy Grail is canon in Fate.

It is believed that Hokusai’s father made mirrors for the shogunate and that he started painting around the age of six, watching his father.

As for Oei, she pursued her career after divorcing her husband & was quite successful! She never remarried.

Salome is not named in the Bible. She is first named in an account by Flavius Josephus. Some Greek sources have her AND her mother’s name as Herodias.

There IS a Salome in the Bible, but she is a disciple of Jesus. Some believe they are the same person.
