There are several goddesses of justice in Greek mythology, to the extent that Astraea and a very similar goddess Dike are often conflated. Dike Astraea is said to be the constellation Virgo, and ‘Astraea’ was one of the choices for the naming of the planet Uranus.

Originally planned for Fate/Extra CCC, Kingprotea was scrapped due to time constraints and appears much as she was originally intended to in FGO.

Her name is taken from the Protea Cynaroides, also known as King protea, fittingly the largest type of its genus.

Miyu is an original character to the Prisma Illya universe, and there is no evidence that she exists elsewhere. Despite being a “god child” in English, 神の稚児 has some dark undertones to it which fit with the exploitive nature of her powers.

Believe it or not, this is not the first time Quetzalcoatl has been Santa Claus. In 1930, Mexico’s president, concerned about influence from the neighboring USA, tried to supplant Santa with Quetzalcoatl and make him the primary face of Christmas.

A knight from two epic poems of the Renaissance period, Bradamante became so popular she appears in art & several operas. While Orlando is mad with love and his love interest hates him, Bradamante & Ruggerio are the foil to them with a loving relationship.

Red Hare’s bizarre design is a holdover from the planning stages of Fate/Extra. They had planned to make Lu Bu a centaur of sorts, combined with his famed steed. However this proved too difficult for the game engine at the time, so Red Hare was scrapped.

Raised by a liberal father, Liangyu got the same education as her brothers excelled even more than they did in archery, horsemanship and poetry. She sometimes appears as a door goddess. Her weapons & armor exist to this day in a museum Shizhu County, Chongquin.
