Been working a lot on the second tier Job sprites as well!

-Male & Female Chemist, Mage are done.

-Male Archer, Thief, Cleric, Warrior, Guard are done.

-Started designing Monk.

A bunch of unique Jobs, NPC sprites, and even new races are either done or in the works~

I have a few ideas on balancing status effects like this via low success rate and high MP cost.

I am also working on a system I call "MP Overload" where you spend more MP to raise the % or increase damage depending on the ability.

Maybe even using less MP for a weaker effect?

When it comes to UI, I am sure my design is currently breaking a lot of 'rules', but for right now I just need to be able to see the information.

The demo will be more focused on core gameplay, but I'd like testers to see their inventory to confirm item drops and such.

This will be a WIP for a while as I want to make sure the info isn't overwhelming the player.

The Inventory will have a menu on the right (where the potion buttons are) that will filter out things like equipped items, duplicates, etc. Feel free to add requests/suggestions!

Looking to hire a to create some basic monster/animal sprites to go along with the human sprites I currently have.

Things like wolves, spiders, maybe a neat mascot type monster if you have any ideas.😋

Here are a few I found that needed NO editing, I mean Emma is perfect!
(Well I had to edit Belavosi since he never opens his eyes)

Each has 8 different expressions!

I think they're free to use (I can't read japanese & the translation is wonky)...so for now they're placeholders.

You may have noticed a certain female with glasses and long ears.

Her name is Vivian Mandragora. She is an Oracle who comes from Invidia, a country a bit further north-east from Acedia.

She leads an Order that teaches the Mystic job which employs a mix of magick and prophecy.

Let's say Kyle is a Snail Mage, VERY low speed, he's lucky to get 1 turn every round!

Chad is a Speedmaster, with SUPER high speed. Gets ~2 turns a round, if not more!

Kyle gains ~12 MP/turn, Chad gains 4 MP/turn.

Kyle gains more MP per turn at a higher rate (limits on hi/lo)

I've balanced MP costs around ~4-7 for basic abilities. Most units will get this amount each turn, some less, some more.

Fast units, who get a lot of turns, will get the least amount. This benefits slow mages as they will regenerate MORE! I'll explain this more below.

Doing research for MP regeneration usually pulls up a lot of comments about how much people hate that units start out with 0 MP, heh.

I can understand it, a lot of these people are coming from other genres.

MP regen will be enough to allow you to use basic spells each turn.
