What's neat is that it's interactive, for example, it can be setup to change the little icon depending on the unit you're currently using (which would be a ton of work, so no)

I need to learn more about the functionality, but I've been wanting to set it up for a while.

An excellent point!

I have a whole array of skin tones and facial accessories in the works. These only have different eye color.

We'll have beards, scars, tattoos, moustachery, and whatever else I can work into that tiny space~

That's a great question and one I really have to think about to really answer.

In short, one of the goals is for interior scenes, like this, to have an appropriate "warmth" or "coldness" depending on the nature.

They need to feel real & lived in. Tactics Ogre did this so well.

The rain issue is a bit hard to explain, but easy with a visual (shown). Basically the rain drops should only fall where you'd see them, never on the sides of tiles, to give the correct effect.

This works, but it's sorta expensive~
