Thank you and goodbye to the wonderful Shirley Hughes. Her stories and illustrations were so real to me. This illustration is from the brilliant Dogger, the best story ever about sibling love.
Four books that got you hooked on comics + 5 friends @RuddickRichard @rcharlesworth @IrinaRichards_ @StAubynsLibrary @smerchant13
I got hooked early on comics! I blame Tintin, Peanuts, The Beano and Oink! among others... https://t.co/w3zrgFhZlh
@rcharlesworth @MaisieWrites @Mat_at_Brookes @erinlynhamilton @RuddickRichard Spinning by Tillie Waldon would be my recommendation to add to these excellent suggestions. Published when Tillie was 21 (I think!) I love this coming of age autobiographical story of ice skating and burgeoning adulthood.
@HannahTeach @rcharlesworth @MichaelRosenYes @VictoriaParkBks @SadiePhillips @maddashe I would go for touchy-feely board books at first, and the wonderful @MichaelRosenYes & @chrisriddell50 book 'A Great Big Cuddle' - there is a board book version too...
@Toriaclaire @teacher_mr_r @sphoenix78 @DepHead_Jones @MrEFinch @MrHtheteacher @KindnessCoach_ @bluebellmatt @TheHeadsOffice @LucyGriff76 @TJGriffiths @grahamandre I mean, what is going on in this bitmoji?!?
@jonnybid Although well-known now due to the film, Wonder by R.J. Palacio is a great class read. Each chapter is so well crafted, giving different perspectives and prompting so many discussions. Always a winner, and now with several follow semi-sequels. #OURfPBookBlether
