Here's a little reading for pleasure tip that worked for me. I took a book down with me when I saw my class out at the end of the day (today's was the graphic novel Amulet by @boltcity). It generated spontaneous book talk and I had a couple of parents desperate to read it!
Just reading this beautiful book from @BookIslandBooks and as soon as you see the blue birds as Twitter icons then the story takes on a whole new meaning. I am now rereading it with the blue birds symbolizing the oppressed people in the tale. And it all changes again!
