The Tale of Princess Kaguya is based on the Japanese folktale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. In it a bamboo cutter comes across a mysterious, shining stalk of bamboo &, after cutting it open, finds an infant the size of his thumb inside. #FairyTaleTuesday
