I remember reading A Bridge to Terabithia as a boy &, in many ways, reminded me of my exploring & imagining of a magical land in the woods behind my house. Like Jesse, I had a friend in the girl who lived next door who imagined with me. It was our own private kingdom.
I love that fairy tales do not explain to the reader but move with the logic of dreams, which reaches deeper into the subconscious.

While some read for entertainment or escape, there are those of us who read to live. Books are as necessary to us as oxygen or food. They are lifelines, north stars, and maps that help us navigate the world around and within us.

I find it amazing when I love a book so much that the world and characters intertwine themselves with my dreams.
