August 12
A special day in 2005. Jenny sets foot on Cluster Prime, the planet of the robots, and the Prouds go on a vacation to Hawaii. Later in 2017, Twilight publishes a book, and it doesn’t go well. 2/3 isn’t bad.
July 28
Blossom gets a haircut from her sisters in 2000, The Replacements premieres in 2006, and the Planet Express crew lick the heads of historical figures to travel back in time in 2011. Don’t worry, I think it makes sense in context.
July 27
The Pokémon gang get wrapped up in a personality test in 2000, Bender meets the robots time forgot in 2003, Foster’s airs…its defining episode in 2006, and Gary and Spot have a night on the town in 2019. I can say it’s an interesting day.
July 22
Another pretty big day for most shows I’ve covered. The Pokémon land on an island of giants in 1997, everyone had the ring in 2005, while Lazlo made friends with a leech. Later in 2008, the Barnyard gang summoned the undead. We were all waiting for this episode. (1/2)
July 19
The Beavers try communicating without talking in 1998, Kim and Ron switch places in 2002, Sozin’s Comet soars over the Avatar finale in 2008, and Total Drama go to New York in 2010. Pretty good day.
July 17
SpongeBob famously rips his pants in 1999, Mikey volunteers at the Red Biff retirement home in 2000, Mac bregrudgingly throws a slumber party in 2006, and Futurama sends up a bunch of old cartoons/styles again in 2013. SpongeBob wins.
July 12
A night of nonstop classics in 2002. Dick Hardly creates bootleg Powerpuff Girls and Courage gets into magic on Cartoon Network, while SpongeBob befriends a seahorse and Vicky gets Timmy’s fairy godparents on Nickelodeon. Which would you have watched?
June 29
Norb and Dag become the first beavers to see the stars in 1997, while Ed Edd ‘n Eddy concludes its episodic run in 2008, with its third of four valid “finales”. Seriously, they were like the Futurama of Cartoon Network for a while there.
June 28
Ed gets extremely dedicated to playing a monster in 2002, the same day Ron invents the Naco. Then in 2003, Jack meets a self-proclaimed fellow Samurai, and in 2017, a halfway decent episode of Season 10 FOP! Literally anything could happen today!
