The kaiju battle is short but there are some exquisitely well composed scenes in it, all showing off that excellent sense of scale

And this part, too, it's distinctly more sinister how the sub put it than the dub (I also realized just this watch he's mimicking Louise before he shot her, absolutely sick)

And finally our lovable and consistent disconnected scene compositions (my favorite)

Readerman got two of the best shots in the episode, too, and both of him looking into something reflective

Again with these heavily over-layered shots, one with Angel's entire waist and thighs taking up almost the whole shot and Roger being the focus and then a mixed drink on a DIFFERENT table obscuring Big Ear

Excellent

Dagon is not only a great robot, not just a direct name drop from Lovecraft, but also a great mystery in and of itself.

For Dan to be someone who cares little about memories and a lot about honor and order his actions here both betray and compliment his values. It's a big move for someone stuck in his particular professional station, and I'm glad to see it kinda tear at him in multiple episodes

Another big character move in this episode is Dan Dastun actively and brazenly disobeying director orders from Alex Rosewater to defend those people whom Alex thinks are trash, balls of steel, amirite
