Anyway you can learn a lot from Ambush Bug actually, it's not just a funny book, it's book that captures the time it was published hell take at this page that is commenting on Manga starting to creep into the market, it's not for a general audience....it's for comics fans.

Now that said Ambush bug is probably one of the more niches books of it's type and it's not bad, but you need to know going in your probably going to learn a lot more about weird DC character then you ever thought possible.

it's a comic of skits rather then a narrative like Deadpool is, and guess what? That is fine this comic has value as piece of comics history because it shows fandom at the times, the conversations the characters who were made fun of, what they discussed. THE CLICHES

Like take this page this is very much comments on famous comic artist of the time and maybe criticisms about them, some of these guys YOU NEVER hear in the conversation like Ernie Colon but you get my point Bug is a comic MEANT FOR COMIC FANDOM

Like he's very dense with it to HUGE extends and this joke makes more sense to someone who know about old comics or the collectors scene at the time, Deadpool is a bit more evergreen in humor then Ambush is.
