This show DOES feel like it was course corrected a bit. I don't know maybe it was just everyone disagreeing but it does feel like the second half had to make up for lost time.
Toy wise we had a version since power master optimus prime, SHOW wise at least in America since RID it's typical for optimus to combine with their trailers for super modes or weapons, jet packs and the like. https://t.co/SqMbUnxRZy
Like, Tin Tin got treatment similar to American Comic strips which is where the prestige in American comics went to originally you wanted to be Al Capp or Charles Schultz. But Tin Tin made it's creator huge, and so many people followed from that.
I only have on in my collection Life Sucks, which is about a vampire who works at convenience store and can't leave because his boss is the one who turned him into a vampire. It's a solid GN but many of there gn's I avoid because they can rather bleh. https://t.co/7GZDXWvlrr
Still here's the thing about this run, you also have moments of Peter helping out people like the Vultures family and being a good person, despite Millar Edginess and what he was known for her NEVER tears Peter down.
at the time it was GIVEN some shit for being Spider-man's hush and was often given the nickname Spider-man Shush. But This was also a story I did go back to and I think it aged WAY BETTER in the long run.
the idea that Spider-man fell off after high school also IGNORES MANY GOOD STORIES a lot of creators cite like the Hobgoblin, Mary Jane and other things, like the swinging bachelor man Joe Q wanted was NOT HIGH SCHOOL PETER.
This also makes me glad that Into Spider-verse and PS4, it got people to rethink the HIGH SCHOOL stuff. Showing how limiting they were starting to make Peter, and Spider-man being one of the a-list I rather he be a character that is open to every story.
