"I am NO LONGER THOR, I AM THE ODINSON!"
"Why are...just using your last name?"
"I'm am not worthy of being Thor..."
"But your are Thor....that is like me being like I'm not longer Peter, but am THE PARKER"
One Thor was still around as a character, and he never treated his name as some mantle, or something he had to live up to, he had his duties as a god of thunder but that's it. So to me it should BE HIM BECOMING GOD OF THUNDER not Thor.
Now before I begin I don't hate Jane, I don't mind Thor not being in the title for a bit but I do think the run never did the best job in justifying why Thor was a mantle for a couple reasons.
Now let's move on, Jane was not the first female person to use Thor as a name in some form, it was Thor GIRL who did first. She acted for a while as a bit of a sidekick and gets a nod or reference occasionally. But let's talk about Jane
huh no one believes Thor was actually Thor, and is just a guy using technology, where have I heard that one before?
Red...never actually became Thor for long. He's mostly a character used to drive a wedge between Odin and Thor like "Well Thor, at least Red think of Asgard, why can't you be like Red Thor.."
and Thor would just be "oh Dad...."
and so on and so fourth.
Ultimate had a weird about mixing characters names around and I wasn’t a fan since if a new fan wanted to know the history of a character it meant asking questions like why was Ghost rider machine man.
You know how there is a fandom for Nightwing’s ass? https://t.co/m4W97MrMbg
