The Hobgoblin would become a recurring subplot during the run with Spider-man often thinking about him and what he plans next. Hobby would start having an effect on Peter's life in interesting ways but well get to that.

Now it's like this story hasn't been done before, I would say that Harry as the Green Goblin and the Jackal were good attempts to do the Goblin story again but there was a spark missing. Hobgoblin fixes the problems.
