Okay in and around Infinite Crisis after she was a dead for a spell they tried to have their cake and EAT it too, basically Donna is a being who is combination OF ALL HER ALTERNATE SELVES which is why her origin is inconsistent and Dark Angel is also a version of Donna

SO to explain Dark Angel....you know what in involves reincarnation, MAGIC CLONES, tragedy and other stuff I'm going to move on, just know this was weird. and is kind of the reason this is a cluster fuck but it's not...the only one.

The fix was meant to tie her into Wonder Woman again in a meaningful way, one of the reasons this was done was because they had a new Wonder Girl so hey let's tie up that end which leads us to Dark Angel...and oh GOD KILL ME.
