After ADAM starts sending out Nanites to absorb all of Mobius, the Freedom Fighters head to stop it. While on the mission Bunnie is captured and almost absorbed but Sonic tricks ADAM into letting her go. Bunnie kisses Sonic for saving her.

Our heroes stage an attack on Dingo City to save Locke. They are easily able to take the city back with the help of their double agent, Harry. As they do, Eggman shows up on a monitor saying he had something up his sleeve, sending the Hunter.

Our heroes fight the Dark Legion for a little until Lara-Le shows up to stop the fighting. They use to down time to figure out what’s been going on lately on Angel Island, finding out Dimitri is no longer alive and Lien-Da is in charge.

After receiving a message from Angel Island that Locke was captured, Sonic and the Chaotix head to save him. They end up liberating an echidna slave camp. Finally arriving at where the message was sent they are surrounded by the Dark Legion.
