The battle damage in Art of Fighting 2 is pretty cool. The swollen face is just an added sprite layer overtop of the original, and the bruises or blood in the final phase are palette cycles on certain colours.

It's very well thought out.

@nxenak The game is Marvel Super Heroes by Capcom. Psylocke also appears in their previous arcade title, X-Men: Children of the Atom.

Colossus has a bunch of cool stuff going on. Palette cycling to create a metallic sheen (also used in Iceman and Silver Samurai), and little sparks that shoot off his body randomly.

Never noticed that Colossus and Sentinel have unique block sparks in X-Men: Children of the Atom.

Just started the battle with Metamorphic Force's final boss and he immediately activates this Hakuto Shinken nonsense that throws out projectiles at a similar speed.

The Last Blade 2 was a great follow-up, adding fan favourite characters like the edgelord, Setsuna, and the passive swordswoman, Hibiki.

It also let players select a permanently-transformed Kaede, changed up returning characters like Shikyoh, and featured entirely new stages.

Funniest thing I've seen out of the #NFTCommunity recently is a brazen mixing-and-matching of stolen pixel art (of different resolutions of course), including the background layer from AM Factory's NeoGeo title, "Nightmare in the Dark".
