In Ganbare Goemon 2 SFC, some of the houses throughout the game contain other well-known Konami characters. These include Simon Belmont from Castlevania, Sparkster from Rocket Knight Adventures, Pastel from TwinBee, and Gillian Seed from Snatcher.

Baban the elder space cop from Ganbare Goemon: Uchu Kaizoku Akogingu is a parody of the tokusatsu hero Space Sheriff Gavan from the show by the same name, which aired in 1982.
