Charles James Fox (died #OnThisDay 1806) had been a follower of the marquess of Rockingham alongside Edmund Burke. He & Burke's very public falling out over the French Revolution left Fox in tears when replying to his old friend in #Parliament.

George III & Queen Charlotte celebrated their 33rd wedding #anniversary in 1794 at #Weymouth - marking the occasion by donning the king's Hare Hunting Uniform. After dinner they 'sat quiet' till 8pm & then had a ball which lasted till 2 in the morning.
