Death of Doctor Strange (2021) #5
The time-traveling Doctor Strange has one last trick to stop The Three Mothers and the Peregrine Child. Writer Jed MacKay, Artist Lee Garbett, Colorist Antonio Fabela: A spellbinding and heartbreaking conclusion to this resplendence series. 5/5
X-Men (2021) #7
How Doctor Stasis’s hit on Cyclops caused the birth of Captain Krakoa. Writer Gerry Duggan, Artist Pepe Larraz, Colorist Marte Gracia: Mostly backstory, but some subtle character machinations are sprinkled in, foreshadowing future events. 4/5
@btoandbatbooks Earlier that issue, hiding out in a Hunting Lodge, Ben Grimm gets angry and throws a Bear’s Head trophy that was hanging on the wall, with a resounding CRASH! Interestingly (to me) there are only five onomatopoeia in Fantastic Four (Jan1962) #2 — and three of them are the BAMs!
Tuesday Morning cartoons I watched on MeTV’s “Toon In With Me!”
Tom & Jerry in…
Cue Ball Cat (1950)
The Million Dollar Cat (1944)
Carmen Get It! (1962)
Pent-House Mouse (1963)
Johann Mouse (1953)

@btoandbatbooks Prior to the possessed Val laying out Thor, he came to her rescue by hammering Spider-Man with a blistering BAM!
Congratulations to James Haven from Fairhaven, MA, who had his “Toon In With Me” paintings displayed in Goldie’s Gallery on “Toon In With Me” today! Those are some magnificent masterpiece, James! #tooninwithme
Hulk (2021) #3
Dr. Bruce Banner seeks answers from himself. Writer Donny Cates, Penciler Ryan Ottley, Inker Cliff Rathburn, Colorists Frank Martin Jr. & Federico Blee: Mid-story, things become clearer, but still monumentally madcap in this alternate-dimension escape. 3.5/5
Death of Doctor Strange: Bloodstone (2022) #1
It’s a Bloodstone family reunion: Elsa and Cullen Meet their long-lost sister, Lyra. Writer Tini Howard, Artist Ig Guara, Colorist Dijjo Lima: A fantastical family romp and only a marginal tie-in to DoDS. 3.5/5
@tooninwithmetv “2001: A Space Odyssey,” which my Dad took me to see in 1968 when I was 10. I loved it, despite having to have my Dad explain the ending to me on the way home in the car.
Thor (2020) #20
The God of Hammers rampages across the Ten Realms, leaving death and destruction in its wake. Writer Donny Cates, Artist Nic Klein, Colorist Matt Wilson: Solid enough — but I much preferred it when Mjolnir was just an enchanted hammer. 3/5
