King Arthur attacks the Citadel, forcing Betsy Braddock and her friends to defend or retreat. Writer Tini Howard, Artist Marcus To, Colorist Erick Arciniega: I understand the import of the events, but despite the quality overall, it’s feeling drawn out. 3.5/5

Enchantress and Alvi go to Weirdworld to get Iric back from the wizard Pulsari. Writer Skottie Young, Artist Mike Del Mundo, Colorists Mike Del Mundo & Marco D'Alfonso: Fun but minor addition to the larger story. 3.5/5

S.W.O.R.D. (2020) #9
The Shi'ar Empress Xandra’s first visit to Arakko’s Diplomatic Ring is sabotaged by the Lethal Legion. Writer Al Ewing, Artist Jacopo Camagni, Colorist Fernando Sifuentes: Mass hostilities in this wild and chaotic mix of Terran and Intergalactic politics. 4/5

Inferno (2021) #2
Mystique uses all her resourcefulness to get Destiny on the Quiet Council of Krakoa. Writer Jonathan Hickman, Artist Stefano Caselli, Colorist David Curiel: Hickman’s strength of plot is here, but with Caselli, pulls off strong character development too. 4.5/5

The Marauders fight to survive being ejected into space. Writer Gerry Duggan, Artist Phil Noto: A simple idea, executed to perfection by the clever Duggan and Noto duo. 4/5

X-Men: The Trial of Magneto (2021) #3
Wanda’s body has returned from the dead, but not her spirit. Writer Leah Williams, Artists Lucas Werneck & David Messina, Colorist Edgar Delgado: There are many dangling threads to this story, that I hope will be woven together. 3/5
