I’m rereading Arrowsmith the Alternate-History/Fantasy 6-issue series from 2003 by writer Kurt Busiek, penciller Carlos Pacheco, inker Jesús Merino and colorist Alex Sinclair; in preparation for the continuation of the series coming out this week: Arrowsmith: Behind Enemy Lines.

X-Men (2021) #3
The High Evolutionary offers Mutantkind a gift, which they refuse… with gusto. Writer Gerry Duggan, Artist Pepe Larraz, Colorist Marte Gracia: Mostly a massively funny and fun fight, but with some potent clues for further plots too. 4.5/5
Fantastic Four (2018) #36
Reed tries to help Johnny ‘flame off,’ while Sky is having issues of her own. Writer Dan Slott, Artist Nico Leon, Colorist Dono Sánchez-Almara: A few fun moments with the Richards’ and Grimm’s kids, but it mostly seemed like a transition issue. 4/5
Alien (2021) #7
A colony of Spinners looking to lead a simple life, have completed terraforming a moon, when a ship crashes into their Eden. Writer Phillip K. Johnson, Artist Salvador Larroca, Colorist GURU-eFX: Shares some similarities to Alien 3 — not one of my favorites. 3.5/5
Wednesday Morning cartoons I watched on MeTV’s “Toon In With Me!”
Bugs & Marvin in Mad as a Mars Hare (1963)

Marauders (2019) #24
Emma Frost meets with a scoundrel in a bar on Arakko. Writer Gerry Duggan, Artist Phil Noto: A delicious homage to Star Wars and a fun story with a rather abrupt and horrific ending. 4/5
Iron Man (2020) #12
Iron Man and Avro-X invade Galactus' worldship, Taa II. Writer Christopher Cantwell, Artist Ángel Unzueta, Colorist Frank D'Armata: Wild action, crazy-future tech, some nice characterization and heartbreak — with sensational Unzueta-D'Armata artwork. 4.5/5
Spider-Woman (2020) #15
Jess needs to stop Aeturnum by any means. Writer Karla Pacheco, Artist Pere Pérez, Colorist Frank D'Armata: An extremely entertaining, but ultimately drawn-out set-up to Spider-Woman’s rematch with Aeturnum. 4/5
X-Force (2019) #23
Mikhail Rasputin’s plots against Krakoa multiply. Writer Benjamin Percy, Artist Martin Coccolo, Colorist Guru-eFX: Percy is doing some remarkable work on the the differences and the parallel operational philosophies of Rasputin and McCoy. 4/5
