While Elektra faces off against Bullseye’s clones, Matt deals with the prison breakout. Writer Chip Zdarsky, Artist Marco Checchetto, Colorist Marcio Menyz: Still compelling, but I’d like to see Matt’s prison arc conclude sooner than later. 4/5

An unknown alien threat hits Earth with with an Annihilation Wave and the X-Men are there to stop it. Writer Gerry Duggan, Artist Pepe Larraz, Colorist Marte Gracia: An excellent sense of scale and danger, carried for the most part by the Larraz-Gracia art. 4.5/5

Adventureman #6
Past heroes reborn; their fates’ align. Writer Matt Fraction, Penciler-Colorist Terry Dodson, Inker Rachel Dodson: Fraction expertly shifts between past/present, part one of the 2nd arc also cunningly sets up our heroes’ next peril with Dodsons’ visual verve. 5/5
