Even straight out of SFM this poster is looking nice. Just wait till the Photoshop and After Effects is done. I'll post it tomorrow morning.
The next, and likely final batch of SFM poster concepts is here. I have one more to make to reach my final goal of 10 (I haven't shown all the ideas yet) But this will be the last concept update for the time being. I want SOME surprises. I'll get started on these next week!
I took a break from the poster week, I have to catch up now. I'm currently 5 weeks behind, so I'm doing a poster marathon soon. Fully caught up in only a couple weeks! To do this I'm concepting the posters well before I actually make them. Here are a few. There will be more!
Phase 2 of Green 1.0 is here. The lineart is refined and looking goooooood. I'm working on the colors now, and as per usual, I'm still figuring this stuff out. I've never been good with colors. 👹
I hadn't used my tablet in far too long so I drew a possible design for Green's body! It's a mess, but it's my mess.
The texture baking phase is almost complete! The hair is already done since it was all hand painted anyways, the head still needs a bit of work (Loads more when the flexes are made)
I think I got some really nice SFM friendly materials here! (Rendered in Cycles)
This week's poster will see the return of a faceless character who appeared in what was arguably my greatest poster of all time, The Grand Shrine, way back on week #39 with what may end up being my prettiest poster to date!
And what would I be if I didn't actually dish out a height comparison chart for these 3. It's just necessary.
Somehow, I found a good balance between these three designs. I'm really, really happy with how they all turned out. Now I just need to do right by their 3D models.
I decided to go with hand painted textures for Pink's hair this time around. It's way more work than doing it with nodes, but the result just looks more natural. Transparencies are still a work in progress.
Teal is one of my oldest custom characters. She first appeared in a poster back in 2016 and remained completely unchanged for the next 4 years. Since I'm remaking Pink for the 3rd time, I'm also going to give Teal a huge face-lift.🦋
No more DVA face!
