I actually did the main head sculpt today. Detailing the neck and chest as well as the lips and eyelashes. All the normal mapping is there and it's looking gud.
SFM poster week #66 The Dragon
Another week, another custom model. This time was quite the adventure. As you'd probably expect, this character is another joining the ranks of Pink, Teal, and Gold. I just need to put together a nicer custom body later.

Hopefully not much of a surprise, but this week's poster is going to be delayed. That means there will be another double poster week like last year.
The reason for the delay? I've almost finished the new character model head. I'm in the process of populating the head with hair.
It's late, I'm doing something I shouldn't, but it's looking pretty good so far. Pink got new hair so I thought Gold should as well. I'm also working on modeling in Blender. Let's see how this goes!
It's been a while since I've worked on this character turnaround for Pink. (Rogue Heart needs to be finished)
But I thought I'd take this time to talk about how Pink's hoodie is an endless pit which consumes all which enter. Hence the gravity defying ponytail being eaten alive.
I don't know what it is about anti-gravity ponytails but I just like it. This is definitely far more complicated than my old Pink ponytail, it's got the flare I'm looking for now.
It's a hair explosion of anime proportions.
Right as I started the hair side view drawing I realized her hair wasn't possible so I had to do some minor touch-ups to the bangs. Turned out a lot more interesting in the long run.
One last redesign. Pink is now in her final form. Before 3D modeling that is. I still need to draw up the side and rear views but that should be simple enough. This is only my second ever full character sheet.
Now, let's learn how to use Blender the best way I can think of.
PINK!
On a whim I decided to give Clip Studio Paint a try for the first time ever and I must say, I think I really like it.
I drew Pink from my many various SFM weekly posters, but with a much more stylized look.
